Ásíyih Khánum (1820-1886) was the first wife of Bahá'u'lláh and the mother of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Bahíyyih Khánum (The Greatest Holy Leaf), and Mírzá Mihdí (The Purest Branch). She is also known by her titles of Navváb, the Most Exalted Leaf, Búyúk Khánum or Hadrat-i-Khánum. Bahá'u'lláh stated that Ásíyih Khánum was His, “perpetual consort in all the worlds of God.”
